Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!! I hope everyone is having a great holiday. I thought now might be a good time to look back over the year and review some of the technology I’ve dealt with.

Surface Pro 4: Last year I got a Surface Pro 4 tablet. I started the process of switching to it instead of my aging MacBook Pro. While I REALLY like the hardware and how everything works there were just a few issues which got on my nerves so bad I couldn’t ever completely make the switch.

Tootsie the American Cocker-Spaniel

Last night our American Cocker-Spaniel named Tootsie passed away. She was 17 years old and got her name because she was always laying on our feet. If you were sitting somewhere with your feet on the floor more than likely she was there, the ever loyal companion. When we first got her she could almost fit in the palm of your hand (and that was mostly ears) and was the cutest thing running around her ears flopping around.

New Family Members

We've added 2 new family members to the Strickland household (they don't have names yet). They should make fine additions to the family. We used to have a 6 1/2 foot iguana named Puff that pretty much had run of the house. He was certainly cool. But we resurrected my 75 gallon tank to the new bearded dragons. Since they're babies hopefully we can keep the tank hot enough, but we will one way or the other.

King Tut Exhibit

This past weekend the family and I went and saw the King Tut exhibit at the Atlanta Civic Center. It was a very interesting exibit. I was disappointed that his Sarcophagus wasn’t there, but other than that it was good. There were a lot of displays from his tomb, statues from various places in Egypt along with displays of items from some of the other Pharaohs such as Ramses I and Ramses II,
